A few weeks ago my mum, a wonderful women, won a fashion photo

This weekend has been one of the the best weekends I have had in a long time and one that I was not expecting to go so well. A few weeks ago whilst I was away at University, I received a phone call from my mum, who never calls me I might add, telling me that she has won a fashion shoot with the company Scartlett and Jo. The shoot required my mum to travel to London for a night and naturally sh asked me to go with her and keep her company.

We arrived on the Friday morning and the shoot was not until the Saturday morning meaning we had a whole day to explore London, something I was not looking forward too. I have been to London many times now and it was all exciting the first time round but after a while, each time becomes a repeat of the last; Seeing the palace, the shopping centers and traveling the Subway and each time I get frustrated and scared due to the fast subways and crowded streets. However, this time was different, I got to explore London all over again in a new style.

Rather than doing all the things we usually do, my mum took us to the London eye! I was definitely frightening and spent most of the journey getting worked up and calming myself down with a tube of Pringles. Despite my huge fear of heights, the view was beyond beautiful, a view that will stay with me for many years, though I have no plans to go on the London eye any time soon! we spent the remaining of the day, seeing new parts of London I had not yet seen before and avoiding the famous Oxfram Street, a Street that I now know my way around and have lost all interest in. For the first time in a long time I enjoyed the visit, it was like It the first time visiting London as daft as it may sound.

The night only got better. A few days prior to our journey my mum surprised me with tickets to see Kit Harington in Dr Faustus, an amazing performance that had me at the end of my seat the whole time and that had nothing to do with Kit being almost naked the majority of the show. Though I must admit, whilst waiting for the show to start I had come to realize how much the trip had cost me and how much money I had left to last me the next 7 weeks at uni which had me worked up and worried as my cat was recently hit by a car and gave a vet bill of £300 setting me back a lot. My mum calmed me down and reassured me and I was soon able to enjoy the show and the rest of the weekend.

We spent the night at the Hilton and it was absolutely amazing, would definitely recommend staying there. the rooms were brilliant and the bathroom was mind blowing, whilst the all you can eat breakfast just topped it all off nicely.

The next morning, my mum left bright and early for her photo shoot whilst I slept in making the most of the expensive room I had paid for before checking out and finding my way around London to meet my mum at her shoot. Thank god for Google maps! what should have taken me two minutes up from the hotel took me an hour in the opposite direction. The models all looked gorgeous in their dresses and makeup, especially my mum. It was fun watching the ladies dress up and pose for the camera, though I was slightly jealous as my mum found it all to be too much but the idea of dresses and makeup seemed like the dream to me.

Before too long, we was on the train back home to get ready for a party at the pub with my dad and friends. overall, it was a brilliant weekend, one I shall not forget any time soon.
